In June 2003 Jean and I revisited Fonmon Castle. Once again, a lovely day. I wandered around the gardens trying out the new SLR camera on the flowers and shrubs.

Below, a few images of the day.

Inside the castle, needless to say, there are some magnificent room interiors to be experienced.

The former kitchen, which is now a dining room...

...boasting a magnificent collection of pewter.

This is the Hall and staircase leading to....

...the most beautiful and spacious library.

What better environment for a little light reading?

Even War and Peace could be enjoyed in this timeless environment!

The Virginia Creeper was magnificent with its rich autumnal red. It was said to be the best it had been for many years.

Later in the year; October 2003 to be precise, I was back at Fonmon taking pictures of Concorde approaching Cardiff Airport.
