As I haven't lived in England for the last 23 years or so, this
is one of the more patchy areas of my web site. It is getting a bit bigger as of
late, though.
The swinging 60's refers to my early days in
the BBC in London; 1962 to 1967.
During that time, I went off to BBC Wood Norton, near Evesham in Worcestershire
on several occasions. There are many fine pubs in the area, The Fleece at
Bretforton is just one of them.

Now owned by the
National Trust, it is a veritable time capsule amongst English pubs. Best
enjoyed outside the tourist season when fires crackle in the hearth and
one can enjoy soaking up the atmosphere. |
Bath is one of my favourite cities and is just over an hour away, so
that features. The early part of my career was in London, between 1962 and 1967,
so that section has quite a few pics that have been scanned from negatives. Home
was Colne when not in London.
The London eye, is of course, much more
recent. It was just a great 'trip' and gave some good visuals.
'Trees at night' was put up in late November 2001.The pictures were taken
at Westonbirt Arboretum during their annual 'lighting up' in the weeks before
Christmas. York was late 2002 and Cornwall was in Autumn 2003. Concorde's last
flight was on November 26th 2003.

Mike, Do you have any pictures from
Cornwall? I've been told its quite
beautiful there. I live in Michigan (USA) but have ancestors from Falmouth
(shipwrights) and Swansea/Cardiff, Wales. I found your pictures truly
breath taking...will look forward to seeing many more.
Thank you for sharing
