Hyde Park and thereabouts...

Albert-Hall.jpg (43886 bytes) The Albert Hall is big, impressive and unmissable in a tourists trip around London.

These pictures were taken with my new (then Canon EOS10D

Albert-Memorial.jpg (32343 bytes)

By turning through 180 degrees, a totally different monument, recently restored, takes the frame.

And here, you get both with a rather nice floral display in foreground; tulips and forget me nots.

hydepark2.jpg (66512 bytes) Not too far away is the famous Natural history Museum. A dinosaur takes prominence in the vast entrance hall. Natural-History-Museum.jpg (44232 bytes)
tube.jpg (45343 bytes) Let the train take the strain...in this case, a tube train on, I think, the circle line. Paddington.jpg (45849 bytes)

From Cardiff, one arrives on London at Paddington Station, once Isombard Kingdom Brunel's starting point for his broad gauge trains to Wales and the West. One of my heros!
