Quiz nights are always popular, here
given an authoritarian touch by John Burns. |
Each Sunday, services are held in the
Hall, which has a religious history in its own right, being one of the
first Wesleyan Chapels in this part of Wales. |
| |
Phoenix Players, one of our two local amateur
dramatic groups rehearse in the village hall, and also give us the
occasional presentation. |
| November....the fifth. |
| |
And as November approaches, some of
the 'youth' of the village get to work on the bonfire. This particular
'youth' is standing by his latest creation; with a lot of help from his
friends. |
Just one match. (and a lot of
newspaper and corrugated cardboard and a great deal of timber) |

Minutes later, it's all happening. Many hours
work going up in smoke; well, flames actually. |
Mulled wine, burgers, hot dogs and best
of all, a warm dry evening. |
and they're
off..
and we do it in green too, sir |

Just look at that full moon! A perfect night. |
And then, no sooner than the ashes of
the bonfire have gone cold, its Christmas. Here, the annual Carol Service.
