Autumn

Quiz1.jpg (78623 bytes) Quiz nights are always popular, here given an authoritarian touch by John Burns. harvest.jpg (38481 bytes) Each Sunday, services are held in the Hall, which has a religious history in its own right, being one of the first Wesleyan Chapels in this part of Wales.
Phoenix.jpg (22668 bytes) Phoenix Players, one of our two local amateur dramatic groups rehearse in the village hall, and also give us the occasional presentation.

November....the fifth.

And as November approaches, some of the 'youth' of the village get to work on the bonfire. This particular 'youth' is standing by his latest creation; with a lot of help from his friends.

And then, no sooner than the ashes of the bonfire have gone cold, its Christmas. Here, the annual Carol Service.

And there goes another year in a small village in South Wales. Speaking as an ex committee member, I know how much work goes on behind the scenes at the monthly meetings.

I would like to propose a vote of thanks to all of them for taking such an active part in village life and helping to make Aberthin a great place to live.
