the view back from whence we came. The 'High Street'. |
 |
I particularly liked the detail in this drain cover.
Note the Arabic instructions! I guess this is
down to France having had strong influence in the Middle East in the
past. |
|
Trumpet of Jericho looking splendid
outside someone's house. |
 |
This struck me as a very interesting
flower. I know not what it is... |
 |
|
 |
more little cameo pictures... |

Further down the town, a plethora of signs spoil the
look of this corner shop.
Something we are all too familiar with in the UK. |
 |
an interesting little icon.
Does anyone know what this might be? |

Now here's a car that I recognise from my youth. A
Triumph TR3 of 1957 vintage. |
 |
That night, I took some pics of the night sky by just
putting the camera with wide angle lens on its back on the table in our
friends garden. The results are as below. |

You'll need to enlarge them to see the detail, It was
such a clear night that the milky way was clearly visible. They were
taken with the ISO set to 1000 ASA and a 30 sec exposure. |

Another misty morning. Today, Jean and I are going to
Millau to see 'The Bridge'. |
 |
But en route, we see this rather
beautiful wind generator in a pastoral setting.
I think it is harmonious in its
surroundings. A case of man and nature working well together. |
 |
 |
now, where are the Teletubbies... |
 |

|
There is a large dedicated car park for
visitors to the highest bridge in the world. Nearly as high off the
valley floor as the Eiffel tower.
The deck alone weighs five times that of the Eiffel Tower: 36,000
tonnes. |
 |
just a glimpse of one of the towers appears over the
small hill. |
