At night, I wandered around the area near my hotel to capture the ambience of the area near my hotel.

 

My next stop a few days later was Abu Dhabi. This is the airport; well, a little bit of it.

Outside, I await my host who was going to drive me to my hotel.

Shortly after, Alex is taking me on a whistle stop tour of one of the richest cities in the world.

More exotic buildings.

Clearly a city that has encouraged architects to enjoy themselves.

We even made a brief visit to the Grand Prix track which only opened recently.

This is one of the cities shopping Malls, note the Ferrari logo on the roof.

 

There are many Indian workers in the city earning, typically $100 per month.

here one man is mixing some cement in a bucket.

Maybe his next job is to straighten the bent lamp post!

This is the Traders Hotel, very nice, very swish and I'm here for two nights.

The Mosque is the third largest in the world.

It looks nearer than it is. I know, I tried to walk there the following day.
