....are just a few miles south of
Llandudno off the A470. These exceptionally fine gardens are owned and run by
the National Trust, and always offer wonderful views in a magnificent setting.
Each Easter, my wife and I spend time there soaking up the riot of colour from
the many flowering trees and shrubs. Not to mention the daffodils...
Water features strongly in these gardens.
There's an old mill by the stream...
April 2003 and Jean and I re-visited
Bodnant on Good Friday.
It was unseasonably warm (22 deg C) and
slightly hazy.
Everywhere was a riot of Spring colour
This little fellow was woken from his
slumber (by his minder) for a 'photo opportunity'. He stands about 6
inches high.
This was altogether a much bigger and more
fearsome specimen. He is an African Eagle Owl.
