The Broken Islands

We see some distant sea kayaks which have probably come out from Ucluelet. This is Berkley Sound named after Captain Berkley who discovered it.		An eagles nest that is up to ten years old. They can weigh up to one ton as they are built in the same place each year on the remains of the old one.

Back on dry land, we take lunch at the Ukee dogs cafe.		The following day, we drive up the coast to Tofino which also comes with pretty stunning views.


	On the beach and happy going nowhere!		One of the locals is making a strong point about parking.
		Not far away from the town, the beaches beckon.
			Caroline decides to have a go at surfing.
			a bit of warming up before tackling the cold Pacific Ocean.
	a photographer (and his dog) accompany them. I stay back on the dry sand.
