Coastal Path, contd.

Looking across Newport Bay in a north easterly direction. Dinas Head in the distance to the North west.

A cormorant, I think, atop this rock.

Jean and Caroline (my step daughter)

The rock strata is almost vertical hereabouts. This bit has some interesting twists at the top.

Back in Newport, a bit of dismal weather, but a nice walk on the beach burnt off a few pre Christmas calories.

Allie, my daughter in law has a go at kite flying in spite of hardly any wind.
Suzi, my step daughter, gives a helping hand.

and then a helping leap!

and another one...

Allie, Richard (my son) and part of Suzi taking a break from kiting.
That sea looked very cold to me, but this Scottie didn't seem to mind.

Later, I went up town for a few pics in the misty light.

Camera speed setting up to 1600 ASA equivalent.

Cnapan, one of Wales best eating places! And a lot of people agree with me. Mike and Judith do a fantastic job here.

The following morning, the temperature has gone down to real winter levels. The good news is clear skies prevail. Eastern England has had some heavy snow. Well, a few inches in Kent.

It certainly looks cold here. Oystercatchers above and to the left.
