Just a few days in Cyprus for some warm sunshine
(and rain at times!) staying with Jeans cousin Tim and his wife Jill
near Paphos. We flew out from the UK on April 1st for one whole week of
R and R. Very enjoyable it was too.
Tim and Jill have a nice detached house with a lovely
pool just a few miles north of Paphos.
The water temperature on arrival was a
bit on the cool side for swimming though.
The following morning, Tim and I on the balcony.
I had a wee walk around the neighbourhood: note the
wording on the lower part of the sign!
Not always true in Cyprus.
This is what I like about Cyprus,
oranges just hanging there on trees in peoples gardens.
seen here through a bottomless storage
jar of the huge variety.
and in someone else's garden: a car in the process of
being restored.
a child peeps out of his gate.
a giant cactus flower of the deceased
variety on a road verge.
back at base, breakfast in the garden
was the norm for each day.
some flora pics taken around and about
Pyla.
Our hosts take us down to St Gearges on
the nearby coast.
