Dunwich is the site of a town that has been virtually erased from the landscape by the North Sea gradually encroaching the east coast of the UK as it slowly sinks.

In the car park, a reminder of my younger years. A friend of mine used to have one and I seem to remember the (2) 6 volt batteries kept dropping out through the rusting floorpan! Ah, motoring was exciting in these days.

Dunwich is pretty well known for its splendid 'on the beach' fish and chip shop.

Excellent grub, we had our Sunday lunch there.

A lovely scene of one of mankind's simple pleasures: kite flying.

Very English.

Framlingham is not too far away. It is a pleasant sort of place and has a castle and a church.

St Michaels church, to be exact.

We walked into the church to admire its obvious style and character.

It is famous for its naves and magnificent chancel.

a splendid 18th century organ with considerable history.

The roof carvings are exquisite.
