Colne,
seen from Winewall. |
| This
is virtually the same view as seen by Gillian Greenwoods camera in 2003.
She kindly sent me some overlapping pictures that I have 'stitched'
together in the time honoured way. |

Another E-correspondent, Peter
Laycock of Colne, has sent me the above panorama taken from the same spot
as the 1967 pictures. He took these on a clear day and has done a fine job
of creating a panorama. It's quite a big file, about 800K but gave me
great pleasure in re-visiting the area of my youth. Thank you, Peter. |

| One October, my wife Jean and I had a few days
in the Lakes. This was the view
from Ruskin's house on the banks of Coniston lake, looking across to the
Old Man of Coniston. This is said to be one of the best views in the Lake
District. |

On the same trip, we took a walk
every day, boots and all. This was the splendid panorama from a hill top
near the pretty village of Hawkshead. I do like the Autumn colours. |

|
South now, to Somerset, this is
Blagdon Lake with the Mendips in the background, and the village that can
be seen is Blagdon Village. All
seen from the saddle during a bike ride out of Bristol with a
friend during the summer. |

One wet winters day in Ludlow. |

First English panorama with my Canon EOS
10D.
St Michaels Mount in Cornwall. |
 |
|
The Eden Project. Another great
visit. |
 |
Just for a change, here's one in a vertical format. Just two
shots combined to make this picture of Aira Force, just a short walk from
Ullswater. |
