Mid October 2004 and another short trip to London gave me the chance to give a different set of pictures of this, London's favourite attraction, by night.

Queues tend to be shorter and if you time it right, and you get an interesting dusk sky behind Westminster.

London Eye by Night...well, dusk.

Straight off the bus and heading for the embankment. It's going dark, but the Houses of parliament are not lit up; yet.

We're in the queue, the lights are going on, and we're about to go up.

I have wound up the electronic film 'speed' to 1600 and even 3200 on occasions.

Well known landmarks are, of course, everywhere.

At the top, it all gets very dramatic. I do like the pink light picking out the steelwork.

All too soon, it's all over. A great 'flight'.

Thanks B.A. for keeping the big wheel turning.
