I took this picture because it is typical of many of the
houses in this part of the upper Loire with it's roof space accessed from
outside by a ladder... This is the house of 'common
man'. |

...and this one because it is typical of the way that way
that 'common man' can build a house of worship to his Deity. |

The roof was not just a tribute to the architect of the
time, but also a tribute to the quality of the lighting: which is, of
course, all natural.
This is every bit as beautiful inside as out.

She did, and we brought some home.
