In April 1999, I was
invited to Ankara to advise on lighting the
Turkish General Election for TRT.

In
June/July 1999,
I accompanied
Tim Wallbank, one of Evesham's senior lecturers, to run a two week
lighting training course for TRT in Turkey. |
| In April 2000, I ran a two week
studio lighting training course for CyBC. in Nicosia,
Cyprus. In July, I
returned to Nicosia to run a short course on location lighting for cameramen. |
| In December 2000, I
organised a two day course in lighting awareness for BBC staff in Cardiff. |
| In the early part
of 2001, I helped TRT Television, Turkey, with their on-going training
programme. I spent a total of 60 days in three separate visits to
TRT
studios in Ankara, Izmir and Istanbul in a consultancy mode. |
| In
January 2003, I was invited to carry out some lighting training for
A.S.B.U.
[Arab States Broadcasting Union] in Damascus, Syria on behalf of the Thompson
Foundation. The course was a six day intensive studio lighting course for ten
students from various Arab States. |
| In December 2005, I was invited to help
Sigma TV in Nicosia, Cyprus. I ran a five
day interactive course with the four people who worked in lighting at Sigma. |
| In April 2006, I helped to run a five day Director and
camera training course for
Lumiere TV at Pyrga in Cyprus |
| In early June 2006, I ran a four day investigation into
the lighting of
TVR's studio lighting in Bucharest,
Rumania. This was followed by another visit in October 2006. |
| September took me to southern Germany for some
one to one training. |
