| Unfortunately for me, my main camera lens broke down
on day one of the holiday. So, it was down to Jean's 'backup' camera: an
excellent Panasonic Lumix which got us through the week. |
Day one and this was the strange pattern shot seen
through our bedroom window. Can you work out how it was made?
Another 'pattern shot' somewhat easier to work out. |

Nigel and I enjoying a beer by the pool |
in fact we're all 'chilling'. |
Emma, Nigels daughter. |
Three moggies at breakfast time |
The skies were often fascinating; this one
particularly so. |
Enough of the skies, this was a giant Paella to meet
the eating requirements of our friends plus their neighbours. |
The river flowing at the bottom of
'their' hill separates the Aveyron and the Tarn Department. |
The Gorges du Tarn is actually a very
pretty area of France, neigh, Europe.
Think grand Canyon and you are getting
close. |
Towards the end our trip, we had a most enjoyable few
hours in Albi.
The cathedral is the largest brick built cathedral in
the world, no less. |
There's an impressive waterfront, too.
Back in the village, the neighbours are engaged with
meaningful dialogue. |
Looks like a very fine apple to me. |
and a pretty impressive caterpillar too. |
Ah, then there were the geese. pretty
aggressive lot they were. |
We had a most impressive lunch in a small town whose
name I remember not; but doesn't it look good?
Duck a la something. |
and then there was an excellent pudding. |
Like, no windows to speak of here. |
All very Aveyronnais. |
Don't you thonk? |
