I was born and grew up in the village of Glanamman, Carmarthenshire. I
studied at Carmarthen Art School followed by Birmingham College of Art. Since
1973 I have been working as a freelance artist and illustrator. For the last 14
years or so, I have lived with my family in Aberthin. Although my work has ranged over a wide variety in this time, (Design, TV and
packaging) my main thrust of work tends to be illustrating books. I particularly
enjoy drawing pictures for children's books; especially if they are humorous or
adventure stories. Some typical examples of my work can be seen below.
My clients include: The Open University, Oxford University Press, Corgi Toys,
Rohan, Simon and Chuster, Griswood and Dempsey, Harper Collins, Macmillan and
Hodder and Stoughton.
