Almost a year to the day that Jean had had some bad news about her health, we decided to re-visit Gower. Sue Sullivan (Jeans cousin) came with us.

there's a fairly long walk down from the car park. but then, the views really open out....

......onto beaches that are just so very desirable!

The gorse is gorgeous.

Less good to fall into...

I say 'A Bientot' to the girls who decide to walk along the beach to our lunch venue. There they go, just two people on a beach.

I leg it back to the car...

but tale a few pics en route.
down at Oxwich beach, there are just a few people enjoying an unseasonably warm day.

It is Monday so that probably explains a lot.

There they are, approaching me from afar. Well, a kilometre or so.

Jean has removed her shoes for a seriously deep river crossing en route.

Out of a blue box on wheels: into a green box on sand.

Or am I being too cynical?

You see all kind of things to make you smile around here. Or there.

I guess it applies to the 4 X 4 guys with big boats.

The primroses  are stunning in the meadow behind our lunch stop.

a different view of the beach.

Here, our lunch stop: the Oxwich Bay Hotel. Very good. Always.

And an excellent view across the bay too.
