Aaah, winter like it used to be when I was a boy! But the mountains didn't look like this in North East lancashire.

Later in the week, Jean, Suzi, Rich, Allie and I were to ski down this particular piste. It was snowing at the time. Excellent fun!
However, there wasn't much of a view and I was concentrating on keeping upright and obeying 'she who must be obeyed' (Charlotte, our ski instructor)

You can just see the distant cloud in the valley below

see from on high. Note the long shadows.

Back on our familiar green slope at Les Cretes. The length of the queue varied enormously during the day.

on the way up.
The rather pleasant view off to our right. Oh dear, a picture of the old man (me) of the Green slopes
Once off the mountain, it goes dark. Happens every day, so they tell me...

Jill, Davey and Carys, then its bath time and Carys emerges clean and ready to indulge in all the attention she gets from her augmented family.

One evening, we eat out in a very nice restaurant serving lovely mountain food and Raclettes.

Graeme and Arielle tucking in.

Little does Jean know, there's a birthday surprise for this particular Aquarian. The cake arrives: They got the numbers the wrong way round, but I'm not even allowed to tell you what the numbers are!

Another day, another mountain. No snow so far, but it's on the way...
