Soon after we arrived, we were treated to the sight of two kites playing in the morning sky.

The walled garden is exquisite.

The amount of food that was growing here would have fed a small army.

Adam and Eve would be OK here.

Even for one who doesn't really understand gardens (me) this place was very special.

Some nicely trained apple trees.

Ah, yes, this is also a working farm. Young bacon on legs here.

also some nice old bits of farm machinery scattered around the place.

This is a horse stall with its vertical feeding 'plate'.
Around the lake on site, we saw this tree root. The tree was still growing.
