Llanidloes
| Llanidloes is a quaint, out of the way sort of
place that gets more interesting the longer you look at it. It's in the
middle of Wales, about two hours north of Cardiff and two hours from the
North welsh coast. It deserves closer inspection than ever I have given it.
I tend to stop for a coffee and a toasted teacake and to soak up the
atmosphere of this place which, for me, epitomises rural Wales. There are
shops, pubs, the odd garage and a butcher that is by appointment: to His
Majesty! More pictures if I pass that way again.
Highly likely, actually. |

In the Travellers Rest, people do exactly that. Coffees
merge into lunches, lunches into teas... And why not? The M25 is a very long
way away. |
