as the week progressed, we worked in a workshop type of situation with the staff to try and improve the quality of programme production values.

There was another set, one of two Sports interview type programmes. We turned our attention to the problems of good portrait lighting and also keeping light off the large screen.
The importance of using soft lights at a low height and not too far away was stressed.

Separation from the set of at least 1.5 metres is necessary to avoid shadows on the background and over steep backlights.

An old friend of mine, Zacharias has a home in the village so he came over to meet me for a chat.

Later in the week, we go to observe coverage of a football match at Nicosia's new stadium.
