Another day we drive north towards the Akamas peninsula. I liked this close up of some fishing nets. More boaty pics follow.
This church is in the village of St George.

Well, that's what it is in English.

I love this bottle brush plant.

It must have a proper name, but I don't know what that is.

A rather sad view of an old Bedford Duple rotting away in a neglected Nursery of some kind.
This is the interior of the church above. Sundown over Coral Bay.

Plus smoke.

Swallows, a sign of summer in the UK, spring in Cyprus.

Not sure what this is, but there are a lot of them.

Ditto.

Onwards to Nicosia, a city that I feel I know quite well.

Jean seen here with a backdrop of the Venetian walls that surround the old city in its entirety; even to this day.

This is Laiki Yitonia, a renovated portion within the walls full of restaurants and craft shops.

A good place to buy silver jewellery.

Just a selection of parasols outside one of the shops. Jean and I take the drive out of town to the delightful village of Pyrga to visit our good friends Zacharius and Nitsa. They have invited us to stay

Jean with our genial host as he shows around his country garden.

All pictures below taken in this Mediterranean paradise.
