A little later, we are up a tower with an excellent view
of the city: here is the world famous Guinness brewery. Yes, it is much
better when drunk here in the country of its birth.
Night time is pretty dramatic, too. Lets
take a walk around Temple Bar and then along the river past Halfpenny bridge
to Custom House Quay.
The following day, we were taken by our hosts into the
pretty Wicklow hills for a lunch in some very attractive surroundings.
Powerscourt House and its Gardens which are
described as 'one of the most magnificent gardens, both formal and semi
natural in Europe'.
Lunch first, then we take a
closer look.
Now that's what I call a view!
The pictures speak for themselves: look on
Scenes of a bygone age: a pets cemetery of the 1930's.
That's what I call a water feature...
I'll throw you in!
