This journey continued over Chepstow and the Usk Valley

 

Light reflecting off the mud banks makes this image of the bridge so much more dramatic. Biggles Baker concentrating hard...

...but he does have some help at hand. Mike told me that flying has three components: flying the aircraft, navigating and communicating. All equally important.

I was merely dabbling with the steering bit.

Cardiff city with Penarth in the distance as we overfly the northern suburbs.
The green parks that link the centre of the city with Llandaff and the BBC where I used to work.

I have walked these paths many times.

A splendid viewpoint of our Millennium Stadium.

Time's almost up as we approach Cardiff, Wales from the east.

And that's it; looking just like a screen on a flight simulator as we touch down gently.

 

A great day for me, thanks guys.

After all that pleasure I even got a certificate to give me an ongoing reminder of my special day.
