From Fonmon, we take a North westerly direction towards Llancadle and Llanblethery.

 

Then we are on the edge of Fonmon Castle owned by Sir Brooke Boothby. You can see photos that I have taken at Fonmon on previous visits here. It is approached by a bridge over the B4265 road that separates the village from the castle.

Here we pause for a short rest and a bar of chocolate.

and I admire a small wild flower. Never far from sheep in Wales.

This style provoked great amusement in its glorious isolation.

We cross the river Kenson plain and ascend the hill towards... ...Llancadle.

Still close to the flight path.

Roy and I take a breather.

Looks like one of those defensive slits in a castle for shooting arrows at intruders. Our route takes us through a working farm.

We crossed a dried up stream bed on this narrow bridge only to find that it was actually a sign post for our route. A loud, but friendly greeting.

He owner joins us for a friendly chat in Llancadle.

Victoria has left her mark in this village.
