A glimpse of majestic Christ Church College from Pembroke College. The former was founded in1525 as Cardinal college by Wolsey and then re founded as Christ Church in 1546 by Henry VIII following Wolsey's fall from Royal favour. There has been a lot of rain in these parts this winter. Another aspect of Christ Church.

The river Cherwell is full to capacity.

Probably these beasts are too with the generosity of their benefactor.

Aaah, I can hear the music of 'Chariots of Fire' in my head. We are approaching the Broad Walk where we turn right past the cathedral.

Beautiful metal and paint work.

Clear instructions.

I took this picture in Merton Street looking towards Corpus Christi College and Oriel College on the right. These are the Examination School buildings.

a close up

A nice vista of the city

Pleasure boats awaiting warmer weather.
Back on the High Street with a classic view of the city centre. Queens lane winds around Brasenose, Lincoln and Exeter Colleges
Hertford College's Bridge of Sighs, a 19th century copy of the original in Venice.

Looking back towards New College lane

The next few pictures were taken around Jesus College
