A glimpse of majestic Christ Church College from
Pembroke College. The former was founded in1525 as Cardinal college by
Wolsey and then re founded as Christ Church in 1546 by Henry VIII
following Wolsey's fall from Royal favour.
There has been a lot of rain in these parts this
winter. Another aspect of Christ Church.
The river Cherwell is full to capacity.
Probably these beasts are too with the
generosity of their benefactor.
Aaah, I can hear the music of 'Chariots of Fire' in

We are approaching the Broad Walk where we turn right
past the cathedral.

Down near Magdalen Bridge, it was time to escape into
the peace and calm of the Botanical Gardens, the oldest teaching garden
in the country. Founded in 1621 as the 'Physick Garden' for the growth
and study of plants for medicinal and scientific use.
A TV crew were filming some presenter or other.
