The Prince has a few words for the St. Johns ambulance staff on duty. Then it was into the pub with an option to sample a glass of local produce. Cariad wine from just their vineyards a mile away was certainly on offer.

I am told that the Prince enjoyed a glass of Welsh Blush, a sparkling pink wine.

ITV were there to record and transmit live during the two minutes silence scheduled for 1200 in memory of those killed and maimed in the bomb blasts of last Thursday in London.
Whilst the Prince was in the pub, the children were moving from the school to take their places on the village green.

One has to admire him for looking so relaxed and at ease in collar and tie whilst the rest of us were positively roasting!

Then, the Prince made his way along some stalls set up to indicate the thriving local produce sales at farmers markets. I can vouch for the quality of meat from this particular stall!

An amusing moment. The end of a memorable couple of hours for local residents as the Royal party prepares to continue their visit to Wales, Cardiff is next. As the Prince got into his car, he turned to me and said with a smile, "You must be running out of film by now!"

The children, now back at the school, waved their flags awaiting the takeoff off the Royal helicopter.
