Valparaiso is built on many hills, and has
made life a little easier for the locals by building Ascenseurs.
Although old and a bit creaky, they continue to give good
service to thousands of locals every day. Not to mention us tourists.
This is the 'carriage' for want of a better
word.
An interesting close up of the electrical
arrangements suggests its better to keep ones hands in ones pockets.
