New England
| Even to an 'Old Englander' like myself,
Boston, Massachusetts
and New England are inextricably linked.
In late September 2005, Jean and I went
to see 'New England' in the Fall. American Airlines (and very good
they were, too) whisked us there from Heathrow in about seven hours. As we
were approaching, the pilot said that unusually, one of the runways was
closed and we were in a holding pattern. It was clear on final approach that
Boston was suffering a strong gusty wind that also happened to be a weather
front bringing rain. And what rain! After picking up our car, we had the
pleasures of finding a strange hotel on the wrong side of the road in a
strange city and car with the additional factor of a deluge. Two inches of
rain fell in little over an hour. Fortunately for us, it didn't last long. |

| Hi! I am Teodora. I come on your web site when I was
looking for some pictures of Boston, since I'm going for a conference there
and is my first time to US. And I find a lovely panorama of the town!! I
liked it a lot, and I had a lot of fun with your comments:). Someone was
commenting about them, but I really think that a picture with a thought
behind is better than just a picture, even if...is just a picture. I also
took the freedom on looking at your family pictures. It was tempting <:-|. I
am happy that there are still happy people with a healthy look over the
world. And getting money for a cancer fond...well, that made me decide to
write a mail!
I am not sure you haven't met my man, or maybe he met you some time... He
has the same saying about mails, and we have home a drawer full with...photo
cameras:). And a huge collection of dia and normal pictures as well as
digital ones.
I just wanted to say: keep going and good luck! people like you and your
family are rare!
Sincerely, |
Teodora |
| I stumbled across your web site last night while just
looking for pictures of my old home of Boston, MA. I was feeling a little
homesick living in the midwest now. I loved your presentation, you captured
just Boston how I remember it. I love how you shot most of the buildings
upwards it makes then look even more impressive. I always felt humbled when
near them because of the history the contained.
Anyway, you need not write me back I just wanted to tell you how much I
enjoyed your pictures. And your captions explaining them, I think I know
were I can send my aunt to look next time she asks me to identify some of
her pictures from the freedom trail that she took 10 years ago and is just
getting them into a scrapbook now. I especially enjoyed the sewer truck in
front of the restaurant, that is so Boston, not sure by but it is. |
