Old Cardiff

It was a complete surprise when a friend of mine who lives in the village telephoned me and asked if our photographic club (The Vale) was interested in seeing and scanning some old slides of Cardiff. They are a tremendous find and were nearly destroyed. They were taken between about 1890 and 1945. (my guess)

I reproduce them here with permission of the owner. They will eventually become the property of the Record Office in Cardiff. They are all subject to copyright.

If you hover your mouse over each picture, a short description of the image will appear.
