Zion-7.jpg (38243 bytes) Here is a close up of part of the choir. I am grateful to Sarah Greenwood, wife of that well known local historian, Jack Greenwood, for permission to use her pictures. Zion-8.jpg (32586 bytes) I'm sure that the faces here will be familiar to a lot of the 'old Colners' amongst you. The only one I know is Edris Bracewell on the extreme left. He used to be my Sunday School teacher in the early 1950's.

Zion Independent Methodist Walking Day. (circa 1965) Usually held the first Sunday in August.

The photograph was taken below the entrance to St. Mary's Parish Church. opposite Church View terraced houses.
