The first summit is in sight.

At this point, the view has really opened out.

Llyn Cwm Llych is the wee round tarn below us. and that is the actual highest point in southern Britain, Pen y Fan.

I am ashamed to say that this is the first time in 25 years that I have climbed it to the top!

The smiles say it all, a very rewarding view for all.

The Black mountains in the distance.

Dappled light illuminates the sheep below.

A 'wow' view towards Hay on Wye, that most eclectic of border towns.

The flat (ish) mountain top falls away quite dramatically
