September 30th 2006 saw Jean and I boarding a coach quite early in the morning to see Picton Gardens and nursery (near Ledbury) followed by Hoo House Nursery near Tewksbury. The pictures speak for themselves (saves typing!)

 

Firstly, there's this splendid old fashioned road sign telling us where we are and how we should behave. Once inside the gardens, plantoholics take over...

Jean was attending a one hour talk about Michaelmas daisies, for which these gardens are famed.

Just admiring the view; and why not?
I love the colour contrast here.

I just loved the old electrics in the greenhouse! I guess they are disconnected...
