Suzi celebrated her 17th birthday with some friends this week Just a quiet affair in the garden, you know. 15 invited, to be held in and around our Summer House at the top end of the garden. That was an excuse for me to get power and lights rigged in and around the trees up there. The weather was a touch unhelpful by dumping 2 inches of rain on us the day before: after weeks of dry sunny weather. However, it all dried out and the evening went ahead as planned.

 Time for bed for the oldies. This old paraffin lamp not only burnt all night but much of the following day off a tiny amount of fuel.
