The Millau Viaduct

270 metres above the Tarn, it enables traffic to bypass Millau which for many years has suffered gridlock in summer by tourists heading for the Mediterranean. Designed by Lord Norman Foster and the brainchild of Michel Virlogeux, it spans 2460 metres in a most graceful manner.  Let the pictures talk for themselves.

We are down by the river Viaur.

Nigel had put his moth trap out last night and he is logging the contents.

After breakfast, Lilly, Jean, Nigel and I are off to explore the Viaur valley.
