Then and Now

As part of the Cowbridge 750 celebrations, the Vale Photographic Club is arranging a display of Cowbridge 'Then and Now'. The original pictures are from postcards at the beginning of the 20th Century and modern day pictures with a similar view are shown from the 21st Century. I wonder who will be doing this in a hundred years from now?

This picture postcard of the Duke of Wellington end of town is how it was in 1900

St David's Day 2004 is even more special than usual. Today, HRH the Prince of Wales comes to a special musical service in Holy Cross Church. The Welsh Dragon flies from every lamp post. The Principalities National Building Society is certainly showing its colours

The local bread shop even has some tempting looking Welsh Cakes sitting in the window.

Inside Holy Cross Church, the Art Society is one of several groups showing their talents.
English and Welsh Tankards celebrating the 750 years since Cowbridge was granted its Charter.

I've lived here for just 22 of them.

In close up.
