In Trefriw, one turns inland up a very steep
and narrow road. This beautiful wooded valley contains rushing streams,
waterfalls and Crafnant reservoir. |

Also from Trefriw, there is a tiny gated road that takes
you the scenic way to Betwys y Coed. And, oh how scenic! |

In case you didn't know, the sheep is king around here.

The area has a history of mining. There are
signs of copper mining here. Not any more though. |

Back in the Conway valley, Llanrwyst is a smashing spot
for family fun in the river. At some point in recent
winters, however, this spot would be several metres under water in flood
water. |
