Panoramic Pictures - Wales

This was my first attempt. This is part of Cowbridge's High Street. The town Hall and war memorial are in the centre. It is, of course, an impossible picture if you think about it, but it has a certain charm.

This is the view towards Aberthin from a point near the top of Stalling Down. Another early panorama made from three digital overlapping pictures on a Fuji MX 2700.

Note unwanted shadow of the photographer.

Same place, different camera (film) and a join up of more pics on a tighter lens. Oh, and summer too!

This is Llanblethian (of Cowbridge and Llanblethian) seen from the south on virtually the shortest day of the year.

In early 2004, many residents of the eastern end of Cowbridge were celebrating when they heard that the Darren Farm development was not to happen. It would have meant many new houses being built in the area shown by these two panoramas. This viewpoint is from an ancient encampment just off the Llantwit road. The church of St Brynach is on the left, approached by a tiny lane from Cross Inn.

Now, the viewpoint is with my back to the tiny and beautiful church of St. Brynach looking northwards. Penllyne Castle is in the distance on the left.

Sunset on Midsummer night June, 2004 from my garden.

Nash Point is almost the nearest point on the coast to where I live; some six miles away. There are splendid views across the Bristol Channel to Somerset, Minehead being the nearest town in sight. The cliffs here are sedimentary and somewhat unstable, but make for interesting beach scenery; as here.

From the top of the cliff in the previous shot, this is the view out to sea. Taken on a bright October day.

This was taken from the Sychnant pass in North Wales, between Conway and Penmaemmawr.
