My thanks to ITV sport for allowing me to
show these pictures on my web site...
ITV Sport's set moves around the
country into various commentary boxes for football matches. It came to the
Millennium Stadium, Cardiff in mid February for the Worthington Cup Final.
It was my task to light it for a 1+2, Des Lynam being the 1!
The Cup, (actually a duplicate)
was in the studio until half time. It was an opportunity not to be missed!
Nice to have on
the sideboard, perhaps
These guys were involved with
the opening ceremony: abseiling into the stadium from the roof.
On the day itself, last minute
checks before rehearsal with David Wood directing.

'scanner' or mobile control room.

a humorous moment.
analysis...
You may have wondered what it
looks like down a cameraman's viewfinder. Now you know.
At half time the studio comes
back to life as Des and his experts analyse the action.
Not everyone on the crew is
interested in football, however well they do their job!
The match is over, Blackburn
have won, and at least half the crowd is celebrating.
There is also a panoramic picture of the
event that you can see here
